Frequently asked questions

1. Why aren't prices for renting the Farmstead listed online?
We offer customized pricing based on your event details. Rental prices are determined by the month and day of your event as well as the package selected. For example, a Saturday wedding in July is priced differently than a corporate Tuesday night event in October. We also offer several ways to save on your wedding package and are happy to pass along any savings that we can. Please take a minute to fill out our Contact Form and we can send you more information and give you a buzz to discuss your event details!

2. How long do we receive the property for?
Each wedding at the Farmstead gets exclusive access to the property from 10am to 10pm. Additional hours can be requested of course!

3. Do you require that we use an exclusive food or alcohol caterer?
We do not require that you use any specific food or alcohol caterer. You are welcome to bring in your own as long as they are a Minnesota-licensed food & alcohol caterer! Feel free to check out our Vendor Recommendations if you would like to know our faves & get a great start on your planning :)

4. What is included in our rental package?
You receive full, exclusive access to the Farmhouse, Groom’s Den, the Carriage House + Patio, the Reception Barn, and the grounds. We also include lighting, tables and chairs for up to 298 guests in multiple areas, a PA system, a restroom trailer, miscellaneous furniture for gift and dessert tables, yard games, and much more!

5. How do we schedule a tour?
Simply fill out our Contact Form or give us a call at 612-520-1825 to send us your information and we'll be in touch soon!

6. Do you allow us to bring in our own decor?
Absolutely! We have a few things that aren’t allowed - Real candles or anything with an open flame (battery operated candles are available for rent), glitter, and artificial flower petals are prohibited. Other than that, feel free to bring in your own decor and ask if any questions!

7. Can we bring our pet to the ceremony?
Of course! We love your furry friends just as much as you do. We just ask that you have a dedicated Pet-sitter for the day and that your pet is cleaned up after ;)

8. Can we have our rehearsal at the Farmstead?
You bet! Rehearsals typically happen the morning of your wedding. If you choose not to have your rehearsal the day of the wedding, we will work with you to find a time Monday through Thursday the week of your wedding for an hour and a half rehearsal.

9. Do you have any decorations or props available for rental?
We do! We have a unique selection of backdrops, decorations, and props to make your day stunning and tell your unique story. You will be able to choose from our amazing collection when you schedule your 1:1 meeting with your Site Coordinator.

10. What is a Site Coordinator and what responsibilities do they have?

We have contracted with a fantastic group of ladies that will be working to ensure that your day here at the Farm will be as stress-free as possible - these are the Erickson Farmstead Site Coordinators. You will be paired up with a team - a Senior Site Coordinator and an Assistant Site Coordinator. Your Senior Site Coordinator will schedule a 1:1 meeting with you (and anyone helping you with your wedding) several months before your big day. During your time together, you will decide your ceremony set up, reception set up, large furniture placement, and dance/social hour set up. Any of the ahead of time details that go into making your day run smoothly from a venue side will be worked out, all over a cup of tea or coffee. This is also the time when you'll be able to go through our small prop rental inventory and decide what you'd like to use from our collection.

During your wedding day, your Site Coordinator Team will be there to make sure that we are set up properly on our end for your ceremony, reception, and dance/social hour (including large furniture placement & small prop rentals pulled from our collection). They will also coordinate getting vendors set up, turn lights on and off, unlock buildings, keep the restroom trailer clean & stocked, move the PA system between buildings, and oversee the flow of people.

11. Can we leave our decorations and other personal items until the next day?
All decorations must be taken down by the agreed upon time for the end of your event so the venue can be ready for the next rental. Please check with your Site Coordinator on specific details for your event.

12.  What happens if someone else wants the same date as us, but we haven't made a deposit yet?Reserving dates is on a first-come first-serve basis - the first couple to put down a deposit with a signed contract locks in their date. We want you to be comfortable and ready to make your decision on the Farmstead therefore we will not call you to pressure you into a decision to place a deposit on your date if someone else is looking at the same date. Our desire is that you book at your own pace, not when its convenient for the Farmstead.

Because reserving dates is on a first-come, first-serve basis for all couples, we will let you know once your date has been taken, but not when someone else is looking at it.

13. Is Security required?
We follow state mandates that when alcohol is being served to your guests, security is required. We partner with the Isanti County Sheriff’s Department to be on site about an hour after alcohol has begun to be served and they will remain until the end of the event. This is a simple pass-through charge that is only required when alcohol is being served at your event. We really enjoy the opportunity to partner with the Sheriff’s Department to help provide a safe, healthy, and fun event for you and your guests!

14. Does Erickson Farmstead provide linens?
At this point, we do not have linens available. Our gorgeous harvest tables don’t require any coverings but if this is something you desire, LeFebvre's Catering and Able Table Rentals both provide incredible linens and are close to the Farmstead.

15. What time can vendors arrive on the day of my wedding?
Vendors can begin arriving at 10am on the day of your wedding.

16. What hotels and restaurants are near the Farmstead?
There are a handful of hotels in the area. Cambridge, Isanti, Blaine, Andover, and Coon Rapids all offer hotels. Some of our favorite restaurants are The Cork (Anoka), The Dugout (Bethel), and Willards (Cambridge).

Erickson Farmstead is privately owned. If you are looking to tour the Farmstead, please contact
